If you were just planning on negating this sentence, we’d have to say that you really need to sort out your priorities. For anyone who has who has ever popped out of the comfortable bubble, lived life off the grid, and pursued a life on the move, would vouch for the fact how travel inexplicably changes everything and that too for good. All those depriving themselves of the chances to travel are unknowingly hampering their productivity and performance. They are missing on a lot more they can ever imagine. If you ever get an opportunity to travel, do it. Go solo if you feel like. Don’t do it for luxury or for vacation clicks for your Instagram account. Do it for the expanded and a more conscious self. And see for yourself how traveling changes everything.

We’ve compiled a few reasons that might ignite the wanderlust in you and inspire you to travel:

1. Traveling recharges you emotionally: Nature is often associated with the feelings of awe and wonder. There are a lot of places in our mysterious world that secretly heal. I’m sure your backyard isn’t one of them. These sacred places heal, rejuvenate and uplift, nourish you emotionally and boost compassion.

2. Lowers the stress level: Just about a day or two into your trip and you’d begin to feel well-rested, less anxious, and a lot more satisfied. For all you that you witness around are happy, smiling faces and we all know how infectious happiness is.

3. It keeps you fit: Traveling is an abundant source of opportunities that would force you to challenge your limits. For there’s so much to experience, you’d be on a constant run around the places. Whether it’s local sightseeing or an adventure sport, you’d get ample opportunities to physically exert yourself.

4. You get to learn new languages: There’s something immensely satisfying about being able to throw around a couple of local lingos. Whether it’s just a simple thank you, or a complex yet gracious compliment in a different dialect, the basics would get you farther than English ever could. It’s also a great way to master a language; you get to stretch your skills with the native speakers.

5. You learn about cultures: Whether you travel to a foreign country or a native destination previously unexplored, you get a comprehensive understanding of how cultures work. Differences aside, you get to see where the common ground lies and what binds all of the humanity together.

It’s not just a sense of accomplishment; travel challenges you and shakes things up. To travel is to learn. It helps you move forward and most importantly, gives you a brand new perspective and improves your grip on the reality.

The Morning You Leave:
– Dispose the garbage.
– Ensure that all the windows and doors are locked.
– Unplug all the electronics.
– Completely charge all your electronic devices.
– Pack chargers for each device.
– Check for all your IDs and browse through your itinerary.
– Check for the last minute essentials (sunglasses, sunscreens, wallet, medicines)
