Day 1 – Beginning the things at a slower pace, we take an evening/overnight Delhi to McLeodganj Volvo bus which takes us to McLeodganj in roughly 12 hours. Your first day in McLeodganj starts by reaching early and checking into a pre-booked hotel; rest assured, Sehgal Transport works in association with some of the best places to stay in McLeodganj. After freshening up, we visit a local Tibetan Café for some authentic Tibetan breakfast. Post the breakfast, we leave for the renowned Namgyal Monastery which is sometimes also referred to as the Dalai Lama Temple, and is the personal monastery of the 14^th Dalai Lama. Also in the vicinity is the Tibetan Museum depicting the atrocities the Tibetans had to suffer at the hands of the Chinese.

We intend to cover the sacred Dal Lake and St. John Church as we return. Also, you can choose to stroll through the bylanes of the famous Tibetan Mall Road and savor the local delicacies in the overabundance of small cafes and restaurants.

Day 2 – The second day of your McLeodganj trip would include visits to the Masroor Rock Cut temple and Bhagsunath Temple in McLeodganj.

Often dubbed as the Himalayan Pyramid, this popular temple complex comprising of 15 temples (most are now in ruins) was carved out of a single rock during the 8^th century and is a popular tourist attraction around McLeodganj.

Bhagsunath is a shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva and is situated about 3 km from McLeodganj. You trip to McLeodganj can be proceeded by moving further to Bhagsu Waterfalls. A 45-minutes walk would take one to the waterfall. A 5-min hike would take you to the ever so popular Shiva Café, one of the oldest cafés in McLeodganj. Coming back as the sun sets, you would want to retire early after a lip-smacking Tibetan dinner.
