Day – 1
Start from Delhi by Volvo bus in the morning and it will take 10.30 to 12.30 hours to arrive Palampur depending upon the route of the journey. Check in at the hotel and take complete rest for the day.
Day – 2
Get up early in the morning, prepare yourself and take a heavy breakfast to drive for Dhauladhar range and tea garden. Palampur is called the tea capital of northwest India. Boasting a lush green forest of pine and tea gardens created an alluring nature. It has added the picturesque stunning view of snow-covered Dhauladhar range. In fact, the name Palampur derived from the word ‘Pulum’ which means ‘abundant water’. The region is rich with a number of brooks that created a boon for the tea plantation naturally. Come back to the hotel and take rest for a while and afterwards go to local Mall Road where you will find the Tibetan market, a famous place for shopping wooden handicrafts, carpets, and general handicrafts which have gained the international reputation.
Day – 3
Awake early get prepared fast. Take a heavy breakfast and start for Dharamsala, one of the beautiful in the Kangra Valley. The journey from Palampur to Dharamsala takes only 1 hour 15 minutes. Dharamsala is the hometown of Buddhist religious guru Dalai Lama. The hillside town is surrounded by a glorious realm of the cedar forest. Here you should visit Tsuglagkhang Complex, Tibetan Museum, Kalachakra Temple, Namgyal Monastery, Masrur from here you can watch the entire Kangra Valley, Gyuto Monastery, and Kareri Lake. Enjoy the whole day and come back to the hotel at Palampur in the evening. Take a long rest to rejuvenate your body, mind, and soul.
Day – 4
Wake up in the morning. Get ready for different places to visit in Palampur:
- Tashi Jong Monastery – it is not only a center for worship for Buddhist but also a Tibetan inhabitant. The complex has a college, crafts emporium, and a Tibetan restaurant.
- Saurabh Van Vihar – it was built to commemorate the brave soldier, who became a martyr in the Kargil war. The scenic beauty of the tourist attraction is located at the banks of the NeugelKhad. The nature park spread over 13 kilometres offers a panoramic view with a wide variety of trees and birds.
Get back to the hotel and take the lunch and enjoy the leisure.
Day – 5
After taking the breakfast the bus will start for a return journey to Delhi.
