Fort & Tomb Visit in Delhi

Tuglakabad Fort

Tughlaqabad Fort built over 6 km was built in 1321 by the founder of Tughlaq Dynasty – Ghiyas-ud-din Tughlaq which involves massive stone fortifications stretched far as one can see with palace buildings , and a secret way to escape. It signifies the ground plan of the city having 13 gates left out of 52 gates as earlier in the 14th century.

Jamali Kamali Mosque Tomb

Jamali Kamali Mosque and Tomb, situated in the Archeological Village complex in Mehrauli, Delhi, India, contain two landmarks nearby each other; one is the mosque and the other is the tomb of two people with the names Jamali and Kamali.

Iron Pillar of Delhi

One of the most amazing metal objects of the world, the iron pillar is rust resistant. This is what maintains its uniqueness amongst the people due to which experiences a huge amount of footfall of the tourists. It is a 24 inch high pillar with Sanskrit inscriptions on it.

Qutub Complex

This complex is an impressive display of the various monuments and the buildings present at Mehrauli. It is present in South Delhi. Amongst the various structures present here,Qutub Minar is the most famous and the most visited tourist spot.

Humayun’s Tomb

This tomb was formed and came into existence after the demise of Humayun under the guidance of his senior wife Bega Begam. Inside the walled fenced in area is one of the most remarkable elements which are the garden squares (chaharbagh) with the pathways of water channels, midway found well relative mausoleum which is topped by a twofold arch making the tourists attracted to this place with its historic touch.  There are a few graves of Mughal rulers situated inside the walled fenced in area since 1857 A.D

The Red Fort

Red Fort, Delhi or Lal Kila is situated in old Delhi, India. It is a compilation of mainly the Red sand stone. It was assigned as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2007. Lal Quila of Delhi is the one of the fundamental character of Delhi and an out of the box location amongst the others. It is lying on the banks of Yamuna River. On each Indian Independence day, the Prime Minister of India hoists the national flag from the main gate of the fort.
